VOLUNTEER TEAMS

The work of ISCU is accomplished through the coordination of volunteers like you who commit to support the resettlement of our immigrant & refugee friends & neighbors by joining a work team. Current teams for which we're recruiting include:

 

FAMILY LIAISON

At the core of our organization is the Family Liaison team that is responsible for interacting with immigrants and assessing how we can best work with them.

FINANCE, FUNDRAISING, & DEVELOPMENT

Responsible for fundraising campaigns, special donations to meet the needs of the families, and a development strategy that involves the sponsorship of immigrants and refugees by faith-based and community groups.

LEGAL ASSISTANCE

This team includes attorneys who specialize in immigration, family law, and other areas that are needed by immigrant families.

HOUSING

Ensure clients are provided a home to settle into with any necessary furniture and other household items. Coordinate with Family Liaisons and the Transportation team.

JOB DEVELOPMENT

Work with the ESL team to identify places of employment, match skills and experience of clients with relevant job opportunities, and assist with applications and interview skills.

TRANSPORTATION & RELOCATION

Ensure clients are provided appropriate transportation for arrival and in-town needs. Manage the transportation, relocation, and storage of donated housing items. Coordinate with all other teams.

COMMUNICATION & DESIGN

Work on website development, news updates, social media, visual design and photography. Creative, graphic design, and journalistic focus.
